]]> Zach Yeakley, a driver for CFI, a Joplin, Missouri trucking company, was named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). On March 17, 2022, Yeakley rescued six people from a fiery 45+ vehicle wreck that resulted from dense fog. Yeakley received combat lifesaver training from his 15 years in the Army National Guard. He worked along side a sheriff, trooper, and a FedEx driver to help the injured to get out of burning vehicles and sadly were unable to help everyone. Yeakley truly is a Highway Angel.

]]> LEXINGTON, Ky. – Cross country team truck drivers for K.L. Harring Trucking out of Bethel, Pennsylvania, John Dowdy and his fiancée Kloe Myers stopped and helped after a crash on March 10th on Highway 60 in Lexington, Kentucky. Their heroic actions were honored by being named Highway Angels by the Truckload Carriers Association. Both were giving lapel pins, truck decals, patches, and a certificate from the Truckload Carriers Association.

Dowdy stated, “We kind of ran right up on it and were the first on the scene when it happened right in front of us. Kloe had just laid down as we came up on the wreck, so I had to hit the brakes really hard and she almost rolled out of the sleeper. I pulled into the left lane that was open because I wanted to block it so no one would shoot around us and hit one of the vehicles.” Dowdy used his semi to secure the scene and Myers helped the insured driver. Dowdy stated that a witness to the incident nominated them and said, “We try to do what we can when we are out on the road to help people as it is part of being a trucker.”
