The discount is available for those who download Pilot’s myRewards Plus app and who can verify their military service with a military I.D. on the app. Active duty and retired service members, National Guard, Reserves, spouses and other immediate family members are eligible. 

The verification process uses an online identity network, I.D.me, and only takes a few minutes, according to Pilot. Once the user is verified, the discount will be automatically applied to their food and beverage purchases, including pilot coffee and hot food items, at checkout.
